The purpose of this blog is to dispel the myth that science has somehow proven that religion is false, or that philosophy shows that it cannot be true. The opposite is often the case. Modern discoveries in science often confirm the claims made by religion for many years.
The purpose of this blog is not to prove that religion is true, or that science is false. I am not trying to preach or convert people. Rather, my goal is simply to show that the claims of religion are entirely consistent with discoveries of science. To this end I will answer all questions posed to the best of my ability.
In other words, my only goal is to show that the following quote is true:
"A legitimate conflict between science and religion cannot exist. Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." - Albert Einstein
The only exception are the occasional posts which will address controversial doctrines and practices of the LDS faith. However, even then, it will not necessarily be my goal to prove that the doctrine is true as much as it will be to explain why it is that we believe what we do.
I am not a theologian. I am not a scientist. This site is not authoritative. Any erroneous information on this site is not posted intentionally and if it can be legitimately shown to be faulty, I will change it.
In addition, in effort to be more objective, to present views which differ from my own, and to create an environment of mutual understanding and, dare I say, respect between different schools of thought, I will be accepting guest posts from individuals who do not share my views. I am grateful to them for the time and effort they put into their work here and, while I do not always agree with their points, I respect the intellect and reason behind them.
I thank them for writing, and I thank you for reading.
